President & CEO
Debbie Purcell, AHC, CFDAI
As the President and founder, Debbie Purcell leads the Engineered Openings Team with over 30 years of experience in the door and hardware industry. Approaching its 29th anniversary, Debbie has been instrumental in transforming the firm into a well-respected entity, with Engineered Openings wood doors present in buildings across every county in Northeast Georgia. As a Certified Architectural Hardware Consultant (AHC), she collaborates directly with owners, architects, and contractors to provide doors and hardware that are both aesthetically pleasing and compliant with all Life Safety and Fire codes. Debbie is actively involved in the Georgia Chapter of the Door & Hardware Institute, having served in various roles including Treasurer, Secretary, President, and Vice President.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading.
Lead Estimator/Vice President
Rhonda Purcell
Rhonda is the Vice President and Senior Estimator at Engineered Openings. With a decade of experience in estimating, she possesses extensive knowledge in the field. A graduate of Piedmont College, Rhonda is responsible for estimating both large and small projects. In addition to her estimating duties, her primary responsibility as Senior Estimator is to stay updated on new or improved products offered by the company, often determining which product is best suited for each job.
Comptroller/Accounting/Human Resources
Justine Caraway
Justine joined our team at Engineered Openings as our Comptroller. Her responsibilities include managing financials, reporting, and auditing, among various other tasks. With over 28 years of experience in accounting, marketing, and business management, Justine brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.
On the weekends, you can often find her playing golf, fishing in the river, or spending quality time with friends and family.
Senior Project Manager
Amanda Blalock
Amanda Blalock is a Project Manager at Engineered Openings. She holds a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from Brenau University. Amanda’s responsibilities include collaborating with contractors and customers on projects of all sizes, managing and completing these projects in a timely manner, ordering materials, problem-solving, and providing excellent customer service. To further enhance her skills, she continues her education by attending hardware and door classes.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and traveling.
Shipping/Receiving
Jeff White
Jeff's responsibilities include checking in materials, ensuring the accuracy of all items, coordinating deliveries to job sites, and more.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife. He also loves cooking and baking.
Accounts Payable/Closeouts
Deena Cowart
Deena brings a meticulous eye to the company’s financial operations. She oversees the full accounts payable cycle—processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices to ensure seamless vendor relations. Beyond her financial role, Deena manages all project close-out documentation, ensuring every job is completed with precision.
Outside of the office, she loves shopping, connecting with friends and family, and finding time to relax at the beach.
Project Manager
Hannah Cooper
Hannah oversees all phases of commercial door and hardware projects, from planning to completion. With a strong emphasis on organization, communication, and attention to detail, she coordinates efforts between contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure that every project is delivered on time. Hannah manages submittals, schedules, and material orders while maintaining strong relationships across all project teams.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, watching her daughter play softball, and spending quality time with her family.
Project Manager
Taylor Dawson
Taylor is a Project Manager with experience in a variety of roles. She began her career as an administrative assistant in residential home remodeling, eventually transitioning into a project management role. Taylor comes to our team with efficiency and experience in detailed project management. With her exceptional customer service skills, she meets every project’s needs in terms of organization and proficiency.
When not at work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her wife, their two dogs, and their mom. They love collecting unique items from antique stores and have hobbies such as crocheting, reading, and playing video games. Taylor also has a passion for cars and enjoys learning about maintenance whenever she has the chance.

Jenny Aguilera
Jenny Aguilera is a dedicated Project Manager with over two years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in Division 8. She is known for her adaptability and commitment to delivering projects with precision and professionalism. Jenny plays a key role in coordinating teams, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality outcomes throughout all phases of construction.
With a strong focus on communication and collaboration, she brings structure and clarity to complex projects, fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Jenny’s work is grounded in integrity and family values, which guide her approach to leadership and teamwork. She is committed to continuous growth and approaches every challenge with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Product Estimator
Jeff Defoor
As a dedicated Project Estimator, specializing in hollow metal frames, commercial doors, and hardware, Jeff brings precision and expertise to every bid. He meticulously reviews blueprints to perform detailed material takeoffs, then collaborates closely with trusted suppliers to develop accurate, competitive pricing that helps clients bring their projects to life on time and within budget.
Outside of work, he is a proud husband and father of four, cherishing family time above all. As an avid outdoors enthusiast, he loves hiking, biking, photography, and exploring nature. He also gives back to the community by volunteering as Head Coach for the local high school mountain bike team, mentoring young riders, and fostering a passion for the sport.
